27th was wrap day. At 3 am last slate, followed by wild track as usual. No clapping for the actors, David, Stefan and Wanda, just silence for Paul. Last time actors and team were joined on the set. After that, drinks on the producer at the Jungle, right across the street.

13. Etage, Max-Brauer-Allee 287, 7 pm: Partytime. It started with delicate Khmer/Thai fusion food, very nicely decorated by Martin Rohrbeck. Around nine o clock, the room was full, Detlev Buck made his speech, ending it with a hand for the actors and all the crew at the same time. Lights went off and the screening of "Same Same But Different" began. 100 minutes all in place, on the night of the last day of shooting. That is something that was never heard of, could qualify for Guinness Book of Records, fastest Roughcut ever.

I won't tell anything about it. You have to ask someone, who attended. One word to describe the feeling people had after the screening: glucklich. The producer layed out the international release pattern, mid of September first Chhampong Lingg for the villagers, who welcomed the team for the shooting so kindly. Second, Phnom Penh Official Premiere, with the Minister of Culture, Filmboard of Cambodia, the officials who helped the production to materialize, and the bargirls. Third, Kuala Lumpur, for the friends at Biscuit Films, the staff of the Ritz Carlton and last not least Guest of Honour: Mary Wilson. We gonna have a close eye on that one. Detlev Buck closed the short speech with: “ See you in Phnom Penh”.

The DJanes turned the turntables on, and the party lasted until 4am. Heavy snowing. The streets dressed in white.
