Here we continue with our story of how SAME SAME BUT DIFFERENT began. Wenka continues:
August 2007. After the meeting I’m immediately calling the publisher and I have the feeling that the publishing representative is happy about my phone call. I’m also looking forward to the collaboration. Tobia is assuming the contract negotiations. That’s pleasant, because there you have to talk about money instead of stories.

Now we have the honour to get to know something about the contract negotiations between our legal adviser Tobia and the Fischerverlag:
October 2007. Claus Boje, the Producer, already has negotiated the main deal points so I am getting a first draft contract from the publisher directly. Only fine tuning is recquired. Often there are only some few critical points that need to be discussed further. In the end it’s always about finding an acceptable compromise and a solution that suits both parties fine. Regarding „Wohin Du auch gehst“ we did have a fair negotiating partner with the Fischer Verlag. The contract terms are quickly agreed upon and the result that was agreeable to both parties is already signed and at hand within one month. Both sides are happy that the project can be launched. Then everything takes its course… screenplay agreement, distribution agreement, etc. … This is all easy, if everybody is enthusiastic about the project and knows that they want to work together. Fortunately that is what we have here with SAME SAME.
Finally you should take your time searching through the coach bags on sale and see what the best deal you can find.
