Same Same t-shirts are available soon!
Hi friends!
Since two or three months all Delphi colleagues are often dressed like twins when wearing the SAME SAME BUT DIFFERENT t-shirts.
Staring with the idea up to the finished product, our colleague Lizza worked almost half a year on the t-shirts! Together with Johanna Michel, who designed the shirts, she also flew to Turkey, as you may remember from the clip which we posted in July. It shows Lizza visiting the company “Neo Tekstil” in Istanbul, were the t-shirts have been produced.
Now you too, can become part of the "Delphi-shirt-family!” From the 17th of November on they are ready to be to be worn by you! Get your t-shirt on our website.

SAME SAME at Filmkunstmesse Leipzig
Every year in September, the Fairtrade exhibition for art films in Leipzig, presents the latest film repertoire of distributers to the German Art house-cinema operators. This year the eagerness under the Buck-fans was big because SAME SAME BUT DIFFERENT had its crucial test in front of about 350 guests from the film industry last week. Prior to the screening the strategic consideration of the Delphi Filmverleih for releasing the film was presented. At the end backpacker nostalgia and problems with long-distance-relationships determined the discussions.
Films Distribution picks up "Same Same But Different" in Locarno
Yippee!
Films Distribution has picked up the world rights of SAME SAME BUT DIFFERENT at Locarno International Film Festival.
Films Distribution is an international sales agency which was set up in 1997 by Nicolas Brigaud-Robert and François Yon.
Since then, the company has made a name for itself in the marketplace with a highly-specialised outfit. They work exclusively with feature films and sell them to international distributors and broadcasters.
Films Distribution now handles a library of approximately 800 features and each year they add 15 to 20 new titles to their international sales slate.
We are very delighted that Films Distribution believes in the movie like we do!
We keep our fingers crossed for the world wide sales of SAME SAME BUT DIFFERENT!!!
Not attaching so much importance to myself
We are happy that Tine (assistant to director Buck) tells us about her experience that she gained in Cambodia:
experience in cambodia
never went to asia before, it was such a great experience. never felt like this before - at day offs i found calmness in myself. the shooting days were sometimes hard and difficult, especially in wide shots with lots of people, smile all the asian crew were great, friendly and helpful. in the beginning we always talked about a small german crew where everybody does everything, but it wasn't like that. For that style of work we were to many people. sometimes i felt like getting lost, but there was always an asian helping hand or Kirstin Wille at the production office or the beautiful accountings who did a great job by paying all the Extras (a lot of them). THANK YOU!
SAME SAME goes Rögnitz
Martin and Ute are both members of the SAME SAME BUT DIFFERENT team.
At home in Rögnitz (Germany) they have a cinema. Watching this video you can be part of a special event that they prepared: Martin and Ute showed the trailer and some pictures of SAME SAME and in addition they provided tasty cambodian food.
This special day Rögnitz was very close to Cambodia:
Thanks to Ute and Martin!

Tells us about your experiences shooting in Cambodia!
Pnomh Penh is a lovely and in a nice way unspoiled city. Probably one of the last capitals in the world where you can’t find a mcdonalds restaurant which makes it even more charming. Dirty and dusty but you think you could stay forever. The people, open-minded, helpful and curious, always smiling but still very interesting themselves with probably the most beautiful children on this planet.
Sometimes it’s very hard to connect the present to the past here, but just as hard to separate them, when history rears its ugly head.
If I would have to pick a country where I believe something like the khmer-rouge nightmare took place by judging the people it would never ever be Cambodia. -
Getting to work, shooting, travelling, hanging around, just spending time in this little universe was a fu…ing great adventure, not the easiest place to record a clean soundtrack, though… ;-)
